Astoria and a Place at the River

I live in Astoria, at the end of the Subway tracks N and Q, where in 2012 you could’n even find a Starbucks. Ich remember Michela saying, that if Starbucks open here, we know, this is no longer a secret place.

The first part of the day was not my kind of thing. I stayed at the Computer, trying to fix a Problem with sharing posts to facebook …
After NOT solving the problem, I took the Subway to Broadway (yes, still in Queens) to take a walk.
[codepeople-post-map]I bought a Cappuccino and a Scone – the way to the east river through the hot streets was longer than I expected, the Coffee was almost cold. But there, in the Socrates Sculpture Park, I found a place under a tree. From there, you see Roosevelt Island and the Upper East Side.
