New York and the Memorial Day

Today, it was the last Monday of May, the real Memorial Day. For a german guy, it doesn’t feel normal, to celebrate this kind of pride.
Michela, the beautiful, I live with, made me to visit this event at the Hudson, and I don’t regret it. It touched me, to see the american people and soldiers talking to each other with so much respect and fun, the children climbing on tanks, taking selfies everywhere:

After that, I went back inside the shadows of the skyscraper. Especially on the Times Square, worlds are colliding. On the way home, I bought some food, and back in Queens, Michela and I cooked together. She’s an italian Chef, so I was nervous, but it worked out for me – she liked the sauce, I made.
